Maccabi Haifa Secures Pedro Brazão for Bargain Transfer Fee
Israeli football club Maccabi Haifa has signed 23-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder Pedro Brazão for a transfer fee of €700,000. This amount represents only 35% of the initial asking price for the player at the beginning of the transfer window, leading to speculation that the club secured a bargain.
Brazão made an immediate impact in his debut, scoring and assisting a goal. This performance marked the first time he achieved both in a single match in a year, with his previous such accomplishment occurring last season in the Turkish second division against Adana Demirspor.
He has signed a three-year contract with Maccabi Haifa, including an option for an additional year. His annual salary is reported to be around €400,000. Brazão previously played in Portugal's youth leagues before moving to Lausanne and later Bodø/Glimt.
