Germany to Try Seven Suspects in Plot to Attack Jewish Targets

German prosecutors have officially charged seven individuals suspected of planning terrorist attacks in Berlin and Vienna. According to the German publication WELT, the planned attacks were intended to coincide with the second anniversary of the October 7th events and were aimed at Israeli diplomats, Jewish centers, and pro-Israel demonstrations.

The indictment details that 25-year-old Danish citizen Yusuf S. transported five HS-9 pistols from Copenhagen to Berlin under direct orders from a Hamas representative based in Lebanon. This weaponry was then handed over to Mohammed Naim, son of senior Hamas official Assam Naim and former bodyguard to Ismail Haniyeh, and subsequently hidden in Vienna.

During the investigation, authorities discovered that the terror network had also acquired an automatic rifle, eight Glock pistols, and over 600 rounds of ammunition. German law enforcement seized this arsenal in Berlin in October 2025. Investigators determined that Mohammed Naim had recorded a propaganda video in Vienna featuring masked individuals explicitly stating revenge plans on behalf of the "Al-Qassam" brigades.

Further complicating the case, one of the accused, Mohammed S., was found to have been cooperating with a German intelligence agency, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), while simultaneously involved in procuring illegal weapons for the terror cell. A total of seven individuals will face trial.
