Maccabi Tel Aviv Guard Yam Madar Suffers Knee Injury
Maccabi Tel Aviv announced that guard Yam Madar sustained a knee injury during the team's final preseason game against Olympiacos. The incident occurred with less than a minute remaining in the game, which Maccabi lost 77-72.
Madar, who joined Maccabi this summer from Hapoel Tel Aviv, was injured when he collided with Olympiacos player Ambroz Ambrožič. He fell to the court in pain but was able to walk off on his own, albeit with a limp. He received treatment from the medical staff on the bench and did not return to the game.
Despite the concern following the injury, the team stated that Madar suffered a "dry injury" to his knee and that there is no significant damage. Madar will be monitored by the team's medical staff as they prepare for the Super Cup final against Hapoel Tel Aviv.
