Maccabi Tel Aviv Guard Yam Madar Suffers Knee Injury
Maccabi Tel Aviv announced that guard Yam Madar sustained a knee injury during the team's final preseason game against Olympiacos. The incident occurred with less than a minute remaining in the game, which Maccabi Tel Aviv lost 77-72.
Madara, who joined Maccabi Tel Aviv this summer from Hapoel Tel Aviv, collided with Olympiacos player Ambrozint Andjus and fell to the court in pain. He was able to walk off the court with a limp but did not return to the game. He received treatment from the medical staff on the bench.
Despite the apparent severity of the injury, the team stated that Madar suffered a "dry injury" to his knee and that there is no significant damage. Madar will miss the upcoming Super Cup game against Hapoel Tel Aviv.
