National Insurance Warns of Impending Reporting Deadline for Self-Employed

Israel's National Insurance Institute is reminding self-employed individuals and employers that the deadline for reporting and paying insurance contributions is fast approaching, set for September 15th. This date falls just two days from the article's publication.

In anticipation of the Rosh Hashanah and Sukkot holidays, the Institute has advanced the payment dates for several key benefits. Unemployment and income support benefits were paid out on September 8th, just before Rosh Hashanah. Long-term benefits, including those for the elderly, survivors, work accident victims, alimony, disability, mobility, nursing care, and prisoners of Zion, will be paid on September 22nd, ahead of Sukkot.

Child benefit payments are scheduled for September 20th, the eve of Yom Kippur. These adjustments are being made to ensure recipients receive their funds before the holiday periods.

Additionally, the National Insurance Institute noted that average benefit payments have increased by up to 2.64% since the beginning of 2026 due to rising consumer prices. The current average payment across all benefit types stands at approximately 5,280 shekels.
