Three Men Found Dead in Burned Car Near Hadera; Police Suspect Gangland Hit
On Sunday morning, September 13, authorities discovered a burned-out car in an open area near the town of Baqa al-Gharbiyya in the Sharon district. Inside the vehicle, police found the bodies of three men. Investigators believe the incident is linked to criminal activity, possibly a gangland dispute. The victims' identities have not yet been confirmed.
Emergency services received the initial call late Saturday night. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, revealing the three charred bodies in the rear of the car. Paramedics pronounced all three dead at the scene. Witnesses reported seeing the car on fire but initially thought it was empty, expressing shock upon learning of the fatalities.
Police have not made any arrests but deployed additional forces and a helicopter to the area. This discovery follows a separate incident on Saturday evening in the Negev, where an 18-year-old woman was critically injured by gunfire and transported to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva. Earlier that evening, a shooting in Umm el-Fahm resulted in one man being seriously injured and another lightly wounded; both were taken to HaEmek Hospital in Afula.
According to community activists, there have been 173 homicides within Israel's Arab community since the beginning of the year.
