Firefighters Control Blaze Near Yarka, Roads Reopen
Israeli police announced the complete control of a fire that broke out in an open area near the village of Yarka on Sunday evening. The effort involved joint forces from the Western Galilee police station, Border Police Coastal Division, firefighting and rescue teams, and emergency personnel.
As a precautionary measure due to the fire's proximity, a commercial center in Yarka was evacuated. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. All roads that had been closed due to the blaze have since been reopened, and traffic has returned to normal.
Firefighting and rescue teams were working to extinguish the fire, which had spread in an open area behind the "Big Fashion" complex in Yarka. Strong winds in the area accelerated the fire's approach towards nearby residential buildings, necessitating rapid intervention to protect residents and property, according to Kaid Zahir, spokesperson for the Fire and Rescue Authority for the Arab media.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the causes of the fire. Police urged the public to exercise caution regarding open flames and to report any fires immediately.
