Ex-Maccabi Tel Aviv Player Andrade Faces Suspension in Brazil
Former Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Davi Andrade, who was loaned to Brazilian club Sport Recife, will miss the first three matches of his tenure due to an unfinished suspension from an Israeli State Cup final. Andrade received a seven-game ban following an incident in the final where Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Hapoel Be'er Sheva 2-1. Three games of this suspension remain, which will be enforced in Brazil.
Consequently, Andrade will be unable to play for Sport Recife until he has served the remainder of his ban. Brazilian media reports indicate that Sport Recife will not cover Andrade's costs or salary during this suspension period, only commencing payments once he is eligible to play in three weeks.
Andrade's time with Maccabi Tel Aviv was reportedly unsuccessful, and this suspension marks a challenging start to his new chapter in Brazil.
