Maccabi Tel Aviv Nears Deal for Metz Winger Morgan Boutelle
Maccabi Tel Aviv is reportedly close to signing winger Morgan Boutelle from French club Metz, as the Israeli transfer window nears its close. The Israeli club's professional manager, Steven N'zonzi, has spoken with his counterpart at Metz regarding the transfer. French media outlets have corroborated reports from Walla Sport, indicating the 22-year-old player is on his way to Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Boutelle was absent from Metz's team photo and is widely expected to depart. Sources suggest he is likely to join an Israeli team. He has played sparingly for Metz this season, appearing in only one league match for eight minutes and has since been on the bench or excluded from the squad twice each.
Last season, Boutelle scored three goals and provided one assist across all competitions. He primarily plays on the left wing but can also operate on the right and in the center. His market value is estimated at 900,000 euros, and his contract with Metz runs until 2028.
