Maccabi Tel Aviv in Talks to Sign Winger Morgan Boukélé
Maccabi Tel Aviv is actively pursuing the acquisition of an additional foreign attacking player before the Israeli transfer window closes on Wednesday, September 16th, at midnight. Sources indicate that the club is in negotiations with Cameroonian winger Morgan Boukélé, currently playing for FC Metz in France's top league. Boukélé, 22, is a versatile winger who can play on both the right and left flanks and is capable of filling various attacking roles.
Should a deal with Boukélé be finalized, Maccabi Tel Aviv will need to resolve the situation with their current foreign player, forward Yonathan Nikolashvily. Nikolashvily occupies the eighth foreign player slot on the roster. The team can only sign a new foreign player if they find a club to immediately take Nikolashvily, or if his contract is frozen.
