Maccabi Tel Aviv Pursues New Foreign Signings While Negotiating Player Departures
Maccabi Tel Aviv, the current State Cup holders, continue to actively prepare their squad for the upcoming season. After extending the contracts of Dor Peretz and Christian Blitz, the club recently announced the signing of midfielder Dan Glazer, who returns to his youth club. The management expressed satisfaction with this acquisition, expecting Glazer to strengthen the team on the field.
The club is focusing on reinforcing its foreign player roster, particularly targeting Slovenian striker Ester Sokler, although financial disagreements remain unresolved. Sporting director Steven Vanharan is exploring additional options. Efforts are also underway to retain winger Amir Sehiti, who is currently training with Hamburg following the end of his loan to Maccabi. If Sehiti does not stay, the club plans to consider other candidates.
Maccabi aims to sign a foreign left-back alongside the striker and winger. Should these three signings materialize and free up an additional foreign player slot, the club intends to recruit a foreign right-back as well. Meanwhile, attempts to sell forward Issouf Sissoko have not progressed, and negotiations continue regarding midfielder Corvin Andrade's future with the team.
