Maccabi Tel Aviv Negotiates Signing of Cameroonian Winger Martin Bokele
Maccabi Tel Aviv is reportedly in negotiations to sign Martin Bokele, a 22-year-old Cameroonian winger currently playing for Metz in the French second division. Bokele, who can play on either wing and other attacking positions, has a contract with Metz until 2028 and is valued at approximately 900,000 euros.
Bokele began last season with Metz in the top French league, making 10 appearances. He was then loaned to Dunkerque in the winter, where he scored one goal and provided one assist in 12 games. This season, he has played only 8 minutes for Metz in the second division.
The Israeli transfer window remains open for another week, and Maccabi Tel Aviv's pursuit of Bokele indicates their efforts to strengthen the squad before it closes.
