Arab Parties Sign Vote Surplus Deal, Pledge Fair Campaign

The Joint List and the Unified List signed an agreement on vote surplus sharing and pledged to conduct a fair election campaign on Friday. The agreement was signed by Amjad Shabita, deputy for the Joint List, and attorney Yahya Dahamsha, deputy for the Unified List, in the presence of representatives from both lists and members of the National Accord Committee. The pact aims to increase voter turnout, achieve common goals, and bring down the "right-wing government," according to the agreement. It also calls for a civilized electoral discourse free from accusations, defamation, and fabrication, emphasizing the importance of preserving social cohesion and civil peace within the Arab community.

Both lists agreed to urge their cadres, supporters, and all voters to adhere to proper discussion and dialogue principles, despite political differences and varying opinions. The agreement stresses that these principles must be reflected in all electoral statements and discussions across various media platforms. The signing ceremony included Mohammed Ali Taha, head of the National Accord Committee, and Professor Mustafa Kabha, its spokesperson, with Youssef Tator representing the Joint List.
