Arab Lists Sign Vote Surplus Pact, Pledge Fair Election Campaign

A "vote surplus" agreement and a pledge for a fair and clean election campaign were signed on Friday between the Joint List and the Unified Arab List. The signing ceremony took place at the home of Professor Mohamed Ali Taha, head of the National Accord Committee, in the village of Kabul. Representatives from both lists and members of the National Accord Committee were present.

Amjad Shabita and lawyer Yahya Dahamsha signed on behalf of the two lists, while Professor Mustafa Kabha, the committee's spokesperson, and Mohamed Ali Taha, the committee's head, signed for the committee. Youssef Tator represented the Joint List at the event.

The agreement states that the signing was motivated by a sense of responsibility and a desire to achieve common goals, including increasing voter turnout, defeating the "right-wing government," and engaging in a civilized electoral debate free from accusations, defamation, slander, and fabrication. The pact also aims to preserve social cohesion and civil peace within their community.
