Joint List Urges Ra'am to Sign Vote Surplus Deal

Yousef Jabareen, head of the Joint List party, has called on the United Arab List (Ra'am) to sign a vote surplus agreement for the upcoming elections. Jabareen emphasized that this move is crucial to prevent the waste of Arab votes in what he described as "decisive elections."

He stated that the agreement would not negate serious political differences but would instead foster a respectful discourse that values the voter's intelligence, avoiding divisive rhetoric or language that creates tension. Jabareen sees this as an important social message to the Arab community, demonstrating that competition and discussion can occur in a positive atmosphere.

Jabareen urged focusing the election campaign on the community's strengths rather than its weaknesses. He stressed that this approach does not eliminate disagreements but advocates for managing them through respectful dialogue that clearly presents their platform and persuades voters without alienating them.

He characterized the upcoming elections as a battle for the existence and future of the Arab community against a "fascist government" that is actively pursuing policies of Judaization and apartheid, while also aiming to weaken the community through internal problems to foster despair. Jabareen called for channeling all energy towards increasing voter turnout and ensuring no vote is wasted.

Jabareen concluded by asserting that a strong Joint List in the Knesset, with ten or more members, is essential to bring down the "fascist, racist, and genocidal government." He committed to this core message for their election campaign and public discourse.
