Arab Israeli Politician Calls for Higher Vote, Stronger Joint List to Block Government

Dr. Yousef Jabareen, an Arab Israeli politician, has emphasized the significant social, economic, and political power of the Arab community in Israel, which numbers over two million people. He stated that this power must be translated into effective parliamentary influence within the Knesset.

Jabareen asserted that the primary way to prevent the return of what he described as a "fascist and racist government" is to increase voter turnout and political participation within the Arab community. He also called for the "Joint List" (a political alliance of Arab parties) to become a substantial parliamentary bloc.

He specifically urged the Joint List to aim for winning more than 10 seats, ideally around 12, to create a strong barrier against the current government regaining power. Jabareen believes such a bloc would serve as an insurmountable obstacle to their return.
