Arab Parties Sign Accord for Fair Election Campaign

On Friday, September 11, 2026, representatives from the Joint List and the United Arab List signed an agreement to ensure a fair and clean election campaign. The signing ceremony took place at the home of Professor Mohammed Ali Taha, head of the National Accord Committee, in the village of Kafr Kanna.

The agreement, witnessed by members of the National Accord Committee, aims to increase voter turnout and participation, contribute to the downfall of the right-wing government, and conduct the election discourse in a civilized manner, free from accusations, defamation, and fabrication. It also seeks to preserve social cohesion and civil peace within the Arab community in Israel.

Both parties pledged to adhere to a fair and clean campaign, urging their cadres, supporters, and the general voting public to engage in respectful discussion and dialogue despite political differences. The commitment extends to all statements and discussions across all media platforms. The agreement also calls on media professionals to exercise responsibility in their coverage.

Amjad Shabita and lawyer Yahya Dahamsha signed on behalf of the two lists, while Professor Mohammed Ali Taha and Professor Mustafa Kebha represented the National Accord Committee. Yusef Tator was present on behalf of the Joint List.
