Israel National Team Defender Or Beloriyan Undergoes Life-Saving Procedure
Or Beloriyan, a defender for the Israeli national soccer team and Sporting Kansas City, has successfully undergone a cardiac catheterization procedure that he described as life-saving. Beloriyan shared his experience in an Instagram story on Friday, detailing that he had been feeling "out of shape" for the past month, with recent chest pains during training.
"After in-depth tests, it turned out I needed a medical procedure that saved my life," Beloriyan stated. He expressed his gratitude for divine providence and a "miraculous deliverance" for discovering and treating the issue in time. He also thanked everyone for their concern and warm wishes, extending greetings for a good and blessed new year to the people of Israel.
Beloriyan, a product of the Maccabi Petah Tikva youth academy, played for the club for three years before moving to Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the summer of 2022. He was loaned to Hapoel Tel Aviv for one season and became a key player for Be'er Sheva when they won the league championship in the previous season. He then moved to Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer (MLS) at the end of last season, where he has made seven league appearances this season.
Beloriyan has four caps for the Israeli national team. He is expected to be able to return to contact training in approximately three months.
