Israeli Soccer Player Or Beloriyan Undergoes Life-Saving Heart Procedure
Israeli national soccer team defender Or Beloriyan has successfully undergone a cardiac catheterization procedure after experiencing discomfort in recent days. Beloriyan, who currently plays for Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer, shared his experience on Instagram on Friday.
He explained that over the past month, he had been feeling "out of shape," and in the days leading up to the procedure, he experienced chest pains during training. "After in-depth tests, it became clear that I needed a medical procedure that saved my life," Beloriyan stated.
Beloriyan expressed his gratitude for divine providence, calling the timely diagnosis and treatment a "miracle." He also thanked everyone for their concern and well wishes, concluding with a wish for a good and blessed year for the people of Israel.
The 24-year-old defender is recovering and eager to return to the field. Beloriyan began his career in the youth academy of Maccabi Petah Tikva, later playing for Hapoel Be'er Sheva, where he was a key player in their championship-winning season in 2021-2022. He then moved to Sporting Kansas City in the summer of 2022 and has made seven league appearances this season. He also has four caps for the Israeli national team.
