Israel National Team Defender Or Blorian Undergoes Life-Saving Procedure

Or Blorian, a defender for the Israeli national soccer team and Sporting Kansas City, has undergone a successful cardiac catheterization procedure that he described as life-saving. Blorian revealed in an Instagram story on Friday that he had been feeling "out of shape" for the past month, with recent chest pains during training prompting further medical investigation.

"After in-depth tests, it turned out I needed a medical procedure that saved my life," Blorian stated. He expressed his gratitude for divine intervention and a "miracle" in discovering and treating the issue in time. Blorian is currently recovering and eager to return to playing soccer, which he calls "the thing I love most in the world."

Blorian, a former youth player for Maccabi Petah Tikva, played for the club before moving to Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the summer of 2022. He was a key player in Hapoel Be'er Sheva's championship win last season before joining Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer (MLS) at the end of the season. He has made seven league appearances for the MLS club this season and has four caps for the Israeli national team.

Blorian is expected to be able to resume training with contact in approximately three months.
