Tel Aviv Man Found Dead After Neighbors Visit for Rosh Hashanah

Residents of a Tel Aviv apartment building discovered one of their neighbors, a 70-year-old man, dead in his home on the eve of Rosh Hashanah. Neighbors had gone to his apartment on HaGdud HaIvri Street to wish him a happy new year and check on him. After knocking repeatedly without a response, they grew concerned and found the door unlocked. Upon entering, they discovered the man lifeless in his living room. Authorities believe he had been deceased for several days. The man's body was transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine, and police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. Volunteers from the ZAKA organization, who responded to the scene, described the situation as "difficult" and noted that a significant amount of time appeared to have passed since the man's death. Neighbors recounted their shock at finding him deceased after he failed to answer their calls to celebrate the holiday.
