Illegal Wildlife Holding Ring Busted Near Tulkarm; Animals Rescued
Authorities have rescued two gazelles and two badgers that were being illegally held in the village of Shuwaika, near Tulkarm in the West Bank. Police officers and inspectors from the Israel Nature and Parks Authority conducted the operation.
A Tulkarm resident in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of illegally possessing protected wild animals. The rescued animals were taken into the care of the Nature and Parks Authority.
