Illegal Wildlife Found Near Tulkarm, Suspect Arrested
Border Police (MAGAV) and Nature and Parks Authority inspectors conducted an overnight operation in the village of Shuwayka, north of Tulkarm, leading to the discovery of illegally held wild animals. During a search of a property, two gazelles and two badgers were found being kept in violation of the law.
Nature and Parks Authority inspectors sedated the animals for safe capture and transferred them for further treatment and care. A Tulkarm resident, approximately 60 years old, was arrested on suspicion of illegally holding the animals.
