Former Goalkeeper Nitzan Frontrunner for Hapoel Acre Coaching Job
Former goalkeeper Itamar Nitzan is reportedly the leading candidate to become the new coach of Hapoel Acre, a team currently in last place in Israel's second-tier National League. Nitzan, who recently left his position coaching the youth team at Bnei Yehuda, would be offered the job if he accepts. The club is also seeking a coach capable of keeping them in the league.
In parallel, the sale of Hapoel Acre is nearing completion. The outgoing owner, Tzachi Nakash, is in the process of transferring the club's agreement to attorney Amir Cohen, who is managing the acquisition on behalf of the new owners, Dudu and Natali Vaturi. The sale price is reportedly NIS 500,000.
The mayor supports the sale. Israel Zaguri has been appointed the new professional manager, and Ariel Barak, formerly of Hapoel Ramat Gan, is the new CEO. Zaguri had approached Asaf Nimni about a role, but Nimni opted to continue with Menachem Koretzky on the women's national team.
