Israeli Soccer Stars Brizo and Feingold Named to MLS Team of the Week
Israeli soccer players Tai Brizo and Eli Feingold have been recognized for their outstanding performances in Major League Soccer (MLS), earning spots on the league's Team of the Matchday for Week 24. The selections come just two weeks before the league's international break.
Brizo, a forward, scored a brace in D.C. United's 2-1 victory over Columbus Crew. This performance brings his season total to 14 goals, placing him just four goals behind league leader Lionel Messi. Brizo has returned to the starting lineup after recovering from an injury.
Feingold, a defender, entered the match as a substitute in the 72nd minute for New England Revolution in their game against New York City. In the 93rd minute, he provided the assist for the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win. He was selected alongside French superstar Antoine Griezmann, who also made the Team of the Matchday after scoring a brace for Orlando City.
Other notable Israeli players in MLS, Idan Toklomati and Liel Abada, also had strong performances, scoring goals in Charlotte's 2-1 win over Montreal, but did not make the official team selection.
