Israeli Soccer Stars Brybo and Feingold Named to MLS Team of the Week
Two Israeli soccer players, Tai Brybo and Eli Feingold, have been selected for the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Matchday for the 24th week of the season. The recognition comes two weeks before the league's international break.
Brybo, a forward, scored a brace in D.C. United's 2-1 victory over Columbus Crew. Returning to the starting lineup after an injury, Brybo has now scored 14 goals this season, placing him just four goals behind league leader Lionel Messi. He played the entire match.
Feingold, a defender, came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute, replacing Dor Turgeman. In the 93rd minute, Feingold provided an assist for the game-winning goal in New England Revolution's 1-0 win against New York City FC.
Alongside the Israeli players, French star Antoine Griezmann was also named to the Team of the Matchday. Griezmann scored twice in Orlando City's 3-2 win over Atlanta United. Since joining MLS this summer, he has recorded 7 goals and 3 assists in 9 games.
Other Israeli players who impressed but did not make the team include Idan Toklomati and Liel Abada, who both scored in Charlotte's 2-1 win over Montreal.
