Israeli MLS Players Shine as Tai Baribo Scores Fifth Consecutive Goal

Several Israeli players stood out in the latest Major League Soccer (MLS) round played overnight between Saturday and Sunday. Tai Baribo continued his impressive scoring streak by netting his fifth consecutive league goal and 12th of the season for D.C. United in a 1-1 draw against Montreal. Baribo played the full 90 minutes and equalized with a powerful header in the 66th minute after Montreal took the lead in the 50th minute. This match was notable as Montreal was previously involved in an antisemitic incident against Dor Turgeman.

Liel Abada also maintained his strong form by scoring a penalty in the 9th minute for Charlotte FC, contributing to their 3-1 victory over Columbus Crew. Abada played 71 minutes and has now scored two goals and provided one assist in the last four league games, totaling three goals and five assists this season. Idan Toklomati started for Charlotte but was substituted in the 56th minute.

Dor Turgeman started for New England Revolution and played 73 minutes in their 2-1 loss to Toronto FC. New England trailed by two goals at halftime and, after being reduced to ten players in the second half, managed only a late goal in the 90th minute. Or Blorian featured for 62 minutes for Sporting Kansas City, who lost 2-0 to Colorado Rapids. Kansas City also played with ten men from the 38th minute, allowing Colorado to secure the win in the second half.
