Israeli Soccer Stars Brizo and Feingold Named to MLS Team of the Week
Israeli soccer players Tai Brizo and Eli Feingold have been recognized for their outstanding performances in Major League Soccer (MLS), earning spots on the league's Team of the Matchday for Week 24. The selections come just two weeks before the league's international break.
Brizo, a forward, scored a brace in D.C. United's 2-1 victory over Columbus Crew. This performance brings his season total to 14 goals, placing him just four goals behind league leader Lionel Messi. Brizo has returned to the starting lineup after recovering from an injury.
Feingold, a defender, entered the match as a substitute in the 72nd minute for New England Revolution in their game against New York City. In the 93rd minute, he provided the assist for the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win.
Both Israeli players were selected alongside renowned French international Antoine Griezmann, who also made the Team of the Matchday. Griezmann scored twice in Orlando City's 3-2 win over Atlanta United, bringing his MLS tally to 7 goals and 3 assists in 9 games since his summer arrival.
Other Israeli players, Idan Toklomati and Liel Abada, also had notable performances, scoring and assisting in Charlotte's 2-1 win over Montreal, but did not make the official Team of the Matchday.
