IDF Demolishes Hezbollah's Strategic Ali Taher Ridge Complex

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) successfully demolished the strategic Ali Taher Ridge complex in Lebanon, a significant underground Hezbollah stronghold. The operation involved detonating approximately 1,100 tons of explosives, destroying over two kilometers of terror infrastructure. This complex, built over two decades with Iranian funding and guidance, was designed to serve as a base for attacking northern Israel, including the towns of Metula and Kiryat Shmona, and controlled observation and firing points.

In the preceding weeks, all Hezbollah operatives within the underground facility were eliminated or fled, despite the organization's declaration to defend it at all costs. The IDF spokesperson stated that Hezbollah failed in its defense and abandoned its operatives. The operation, which involved intense ground combat and significant casualties among Israeli soldiers, was described as a hard-won victory.

Israel had conveyed messages to both Hezbollah and Iran in recent days, warning against any attempts to escalate the situation. Hezbollah, reportedly concerned by the IDF's actions, sought assistance from Iran. The demolition of the complex was so powerful that it was registered as a seismic event by geological institutes.

Following the operation, the IDF is redeploying its forces along the "Blue Line" (the border between Israel and Lebanon) and is preparing for various scenarios, including multi-front conflict. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that the IDF will remain in the security zone, continue to destroy terror infrastructure, and thwart any attempts by Hezbollah to re-establish its capabilities. Netanyahu also issued a veiled threat to Iran, referencing its nuclear ambitions and stating, "We are dealing with Ali Taher Ridge. To be continued."
