Ben Gvir Sues MK Eizenkot for Defamation Over TikTok Claims
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has filed a NIS 100,000 defamation lawsuit against Knesset Member Gadi Eizenkot and Eizenkot's party. The lawsuit, filed by attorney Ze'ev Wolf, stems from statements Eizenkot made on a Kan 11 podcast. In the podcast, Eizenkot allegedly attributed the spread of violent TikTok videos, including purported calls for murder and racist remarks, to Ben-Gvir.
Ben-Gvir unequivocally stated in the lawsuit that these claims are entirely false and that he has never published, promoted, or disseminated such content. He asserts that Eizenkot falsely attributed incitement to murder and racism to him.
In addition to the financial compensation, Ben-Gvir is seeking a court order for the removal of the defamatory segment from all party platforms and for a clear correction and clarification to be published.
