Teenager to Face Charges for Rape and Blackmail of Minor
Police in Bat Yam have concluded an investigation into a 14-year-old boy accused of coercing a minor into sexual relations through threats and blackmail. The suspect allegedly filmed the encounters and shared the recordings with friends. The investigation began in August after police received a report from the victim detailing the alleged coercion. Detectives from the Bat Yam juvenile division determined that the suspect initially contacted the victim via TikTok. He then allegedly persuaded her into sexual activity, subsequently threatening her with harm if she refused his demands. The suspect reportedly recorded their sexual encounters and distributed the footage among his peers. Following the investigation's progression to an open phase, the suspect was apprehended. His detention was extended multiple times by the court. On September 1, 2026, a court ordered his release to house arrest. A formal indictment is expected to be filed against him in the coming days.
