Tel Aviv Prosecutors Charge Bat Yam Man with Raping 18-Year-Old in Apartment Hotel

The Tel Aviv District Prosecutor's Office filed formal charges on Monday against a 51-year-old man from Bat Yam for raping an 18-year-old woman about ten days ago in an apartment hotel in the city. The investigation began on August 6 around 7 p.m. following a report of a violent rape at the Bat Yam hotel. Police from the Bat Yam station, alongside forensic investigators from the Ayalon district, quickly located the suspect in an open area nearby and brought him in for questioning. Evidence was gathered during the investigation linking the suspect to serious sexual offenses. His detention has been repeatedly extended by the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, and prosecutors plan to request continued detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings once the indictment is filed in the coming days.

Separately, earlier this month, the State Prosecutor's Office submitted an indictment to the Haifa District Court against Alon Suissa, a 46-year-old resident of Nesher. Suissa faces charges of severe rape offenses involving a 6-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy, as well as sexual offenses against two girls aged 10 and 8 committed via the internet.
