17-Year-Old Charged with Sexual Assault and Extortion of 15-Year-Old at School
A 17-year-old boy from central Israel was indicted on Tuesday for serious sexual offenses against a 15-year-old minor. According to the indictment filed at the Lod District Court, the accused verbally abused the victim, extorted money from him, and physically assaulted him. He then led the minor to a secluded area within their school where he sexually assaulted him. The prosecution plans to request the court to extend the suspect's detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings. The charges include extortion by threats, assault, and two counts of non-consensual rape of a minor.
Earlier this month, indictments were filed against two young men aged 19 and 20 from Yafia near Nazareth, accused of kidnapping, aggravated robbery, threats, indecent acts, and aggravated assault. They allegedly kidnapped, assaulted, and robbed a young man who threatened to release intimate footage of a minor. The investigation began in the northern district police after a complaint from a northern resident who was attacked upon entering a guest apartment in the Galilee, where two masked men stripped, handcuffed, filmed him naked, and stole his cellphone.
Last month, Elior Cohen from Rosh HaAyin was indicted for multiple sexual offenses against four minors aged 13 to 15. The indictment states Cohen engaged in explicit sexual communications with the minors, met them, transported them to various hotels, and had sexual contact with them, recording the acts on his mobile phone.
