i24NEWS Reports Significant Ratings Growth in Hebrew Broadcast Year

i24NEWS has concluded the Hebrew broadcast year תשפ"ו (2025-2026) with substantial audience rating increases across its programming. According to rating committee data published by the channel, news and current affairs programs saw double-digit and even triple-digit percentage growth compared to the previous year, תשפ"ה (2024-2025).

Notable surges include "7 with Sharon Gal," which averaged a 129% increase year-over-year, more than doubling its viewership and reportedly surpassing some metrics of Kan 11. "Gilboa Index" with Niv Gilboa grew by 50%, and the main evening news with Miri Michaeli rose 57% on average annually, with an 86% increase in August 2026 compared to August 2025. In contrast, competing channels reportedly experienced declines during the same annual comparison: Channel 12 was down 15%, Channel 13 down 17%, Channel 14 down 5%, and Kan 11 down 3%.

Weekend programming also emerged as a key growth area for i24NEWS. "Cabinet Friday" hosted by Noa Dori climbed 52% annually, securing second place in its timeslot with a 5.4% viewership peak. "Shabbat Magazine" with Michal Ravinovitch saw a 67% increase, while "Sofashavua" with Daniel Roth Abneri's Friday edition rose 67% and the Saturday edition jumped 114%.

Growth extended to other daily programs, including "Talking News" with Eliraz Sade (up 87%), "Five O'Clock News" with Sharon Nissim (up 50%), "The Israelis" with Uri Koal (up 21%), and "The Arabists" with Tzvi Yehezkeli (up 14%). The cumulative data indicates a strengthening across the main broadcast, evening hours, current affairs schedule, and weekend shows, positioning i24NEWS with an expanded viewership base for the upcoming broadcast year amidst competitor declines.
