Brothers Sentenced to Prison for Orchestrating Attack Over Romantic Dispute
An Israeli court has sentenced two brothers, Ahmad Ahmad Abdalla and Muhammad Ahmad Abdalla, to lengthy prison terms for orchestrating an attempted murder. Ahmad received 19 years and Muhammad 14.5 years. They were found guilty of attempted murder, armed robbery, and obstruction of justice, stemming from a romantic relationship the victim had with their sister.
Investigators determined that in April 2023, the brothers meticulously planned the assault. They used a fake TikTok account to lure the victim to a parking lot near the Mar Elias Monastery. When the victim arrived by car, the attackers blocked his vehicle, smashed the windows, and opened fire, inflicting severe injuries.
The court also ordered the convicted brothers to pay substantial compensation to the victims and to forfeit funds involved in the criminal scheme. A third individual involved in the case was convicted on lesser charges and received a sentence equivalent to the time already served under arrest.
