Prominent Rabbi and Educator Rivka Kalach Passes Away Unexpectedly

The "Orot" Lindenbaum Seminary is mourning the untimely death of Rabbi Rivka Kalach, a leading figure among the seminary's students and spiritual leaders. Kalach had previously held a senior management position at Israel Aerospace Industries, leaving behind a successful career to pursue Torah study and spiritual leadership.

"Orot Torah Stone" network eulogized her as a "brilliant student, a true teacher of Jewish law, and a leader." The seminary stated that even after completing her studies, Kalach, known for her clarity of thought, exceptional intellect, piety, and pleasant demeanor, chose to continue full-time study at the Kollel's Beit Midrash, delving into the laws of Choshen Mishpat with Rabbi Shuki Reich.

Throughout her life, she was also a leader in the "Drachei Noam" community in Modi'in, answering numerous halachic questions and teaching Gemara and Halacha in various locations. Rabbi Dr. Ketriel Brander, President and Rosh of the 'Orot Torah Stone' network, described her as one of the most brilliant, dedicated, and righteous students, possessing a rare sharp intellect, profound thoughtfulness, immense dedication to Torah, and a generous, kind heart. He noted her unique combination of Torah greatness with humility, sharp thinking with deep human sensitivity, and a love for Torah that radiated to all around her.

Rabbi Chaimatal Shoval, Rosh of 'Kollel Da'at' where Kalach studied, added that Rabbi Kalach's Torah knowledge, love for Torah, and radiant presence were a magnet for all the women at the Lindenbaum Seminary. She is remembered as a teacher of Jewish law, a good friend, and a true leader.
