Tiberias Man Charged With Arson, Threats Against Neighbor

Prosecutors in the Northern District have filed an indictment against a Tiberias resident in the Nazareth Central Court, accusing him of threatening his neighbor, illegally possessing a knife, and setting his neighbor's car on fire. Police stated that on August 20, 2026, they received a report of a man entering a business in Tiberias searching for his neighbor. He allegedly threatened the neighbor's daughter, who works there, stating he would kill her father. Later, the suspect reportedly arrived at his neighbor's home carrying a knife, but left upon noticing his neighbor was present with his children. The police further reported that the suspect then damaged two tires of his neighbor's car with the knife. He subsequently called his neighbor and threatened to decapitate him. The police noted that on August 22, 2026, the suspect set fire to his own car, causing damage to another vehicle. He was arrested the same day. The indictment was filed following the completion of his interrogation.
