Man Threatens Neighbor, Sets Car on Fire in Tiberias

A resident of Tiberias has been indicted for allegedly threatening to murder his neighbor, puncturing his car tires, and setting them on fire. The indictment, filed by the Northern District Prosecutor's Office in the Nazareth-Jalil District Court, charges the suspect with threats, illegal possession of a knife, malicious damage, and arson.

According to the indictment, on August 20, the suspect went to a business in Tiberias and threatened the neighbor in front of his daughter, who worked there, stating he would murder him. He later approached the neighbor's home with a knife but left when he saw the neighbor with his children. Shortly after, the suspect punctured two of the neighbor's car tires and made further threats, including one to cut off his head.

On August 22, the suspect returned to the neighbor's car equipped with a pipe wrench and flammable material. He allegedly poured the material on the car's wheels and set them ablaze, then caused further damage to the vehicle with the wrench. Police arrested the suspect later that night after he fled his home. His detention has been extended periodically throughout the investigation.
