Big Brother Star Yanki Goldhaber Completes IDF Service
Yanki Goldhaber, a contestant on the 13th season of the reality show "Big Brother," was discharged from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Wednesday. Goldhaber, who is Haredi, completed his service after two years and eight months.
On the day of his discharge, Goldhaber cut his military ID tag, marking the end of his service. In the days leading up to his release, he shared his excitement with his tens of thousands of social media followers.
Before enlisting, Goldhaber had also shared his anxieties about starting his military service with his followers. He expressed a mix of pride and fear, writing, "Last night in civilian life, in a few hours I will start saluting, I ask you, Father, to watch over all your children. I know I am fulfilling a dream, and I am the proudest in the world of this decision." He admitted to being scared and stressed but also felt protected, adding, "So Father watch over me, I promise to be a good soldier."
