Hapoel Eilat Opens Basketball Season at Home in Winner Cup
Hapoel Eilat will begin their basketball season tonight at 7:00 PM, hosting Bnei Herzliya in their opening game of the Winner Cup group stage. The team, returning to the top league after a successful season in the National League and two years away from competition, is eager for their first win.
Approximately 800 fans are expected to attend the game, supporting the team as they aim for an early victory. Hapoel Eilat has undergone significant changes, adding eight new players and a new coach, Oren Aharoni, who previously played for the team nearly three decades ago.
Several players from last season remain, alongside the new recruits. Tzouf Ben Moshe, a standout player last season who also had a loan spell with Hapoel Jerusalem, has been named team captain. The new additions this summer include Ben Roina and Eliad Tal, along with Yuval Schneiderman, Daniel Rosenbaum, Aaron Weiler, Jabonte Hawkins, Brandon Lee, James Dickey, Kendall McCollum, and Bryant Crawford. All players are reported to be healthy and available for the match.
