Hapoel Eilat Basketball Team Opens Season at Home

Hapoel Eilat is set to begin its basketball season tonight at 7:00 PM, hosting Bnei Herzliya in their opening game of the Winner League Cup group stage. This marks the team's return to the top league after a two-year absence and a successful season in the National League, which secured their promotion to the Premier League nearly six months ago. Approximately 800 fans are expected to attend the game, hoping for a victorious start to the season.

The team has undergone significant changes, adding eight new players and a new coach, Oren Aharoni, who previously played for the club about 30 years ago. Several players from the previous season remain with the team. Yuval Shneiderman has been named the team's captain. He joins returning players like Tzof Ben Moshe, who was a key player last season and briefly loaned to Hapoel Jerusalem. The new additions include Ben Roina, Eliad Tal, Daniel Rosenbaum, Aaron Weiler, Jabonte Hawkins, Brandon Lee, James Dickey, Kendall McCollum, and Bryant Crawford. All players are reported to be healthy and available for the game.
