Hapoel Eilat Boosts Budget to 12 Million Shekels Ahead of Premier League Return

Hapoel Eilat is preparing for its return to the Israeli Basketball Premier League with a significantly increased budget of around 12 million shekels for the upcoming season. The club aims to sign two Israeli players, including one senior player, to respond proactively to the transfer market dynamics and gain a competitive edge.

The team was surprised when player Hanan As signed with Bnei Herzliya, despite no contract for the next season, as Eilat believed negotiations were progressing well. One key reason for As's decision was his desire to compete in European tournaments, which Eilat currently cannot offer.

Currently, Eilat has three Israeli players under contract: Tzuf Ben Moshe, Eliad Tal, and Tomer Porat. The roster is planned to include five foreign players, four Israelis, and three young talents. While the club has not yet actively pursued foreign signings, discussions are ongoing with Austin Tillman.

This strategic approach reflects Eilat's ambition to strengthen its squad and capitalize on transfer opportunities ahead of the new season in the Premier League.
