Rosh Ha'ayin Honors 150 Volunteers for Community Service

Rosh Ha'ayin held its annual appreciation conference for volunteers earlier this week, organized by the municipal volunteer unit within the Social Services Department, managed by Orly Ankonyina. Approximately 150 volunteers, representing around 100 different volunteer organizations active across the city in various fields, attended the event. This year's conference held special significance due to the extensive volunteer efforts throughout the year, both during routine times and emergencies.

Mayor Raz Shagi addressed the attendees, thanking them for their contributions over the past year. He highlighted the exceptional spirit of volunteerism in Rosh Ha'ayin, which was evident throughout the year, particularly during Operation "Lion's Roar." Shagi emphasized that volunteers are an integral part of the city's resilience and its ability to function as a strong, united community.

Also present were City Manager Ronita Tabib and Director of Social Services Hagit Ben Ratzon. The evening featured an artistic program, including a performance by Oded Tzafati, who presented a nostalgic and humorous show about the iconic Israeli comedy trio "HaGashash Ha'ivri."

To conclude the event, attendees received a gift of wine from Golan Heights Winery, a choice made to support businesses in northern Israel. The Rosh Ha'ayin Municipality expressed gratitude to the volunteers, organization chairs, and project coordinators for their year-long efforts and wished them a good year ahead filled with activity.
