Rosh Ha'ayin Municipality Honors Outstanding Employees

The Rosh Ha'ayin Municipality held a festive ceremony earlier this week at the city's cultural hall to recognize its outstanding employees for the Hebrew year 5786. The event, organized by the Human Resources Department, was attended by municipal workers and the families of those being honored. The ceremony aimed to acknowledge employees for their professional, dedicated, and significant contributions during both routine times and emergencies.

Mayor Rabbi Yehiel Basi opened the event with blessings, followed by remarks from Municipality Director-General Ronita Tabib and Mayor Raz Shagi. Both expressed deep gratitude to the employees for their year-round work and dedication. The selection of this year's honorees was based on three core principles: quiet leadership, initiative beyond job descriptions, and resilience in challenges, demonstrated through professional and responsible conduct even in complex periods.

Several employees received awards for their exceptional performance. Eti Mekurish, head of registration and coordination in the building supervision department, was recognized for her professionalism, high service awareness, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. Ayala Bar Shaul, a youth law social worker in the social services department, was honored for her professionalism, decision-making in risky situations, initiative, and collaborations. Hagith Gershi, manager of the city engineer's office and urban projects, was praised for her dedicated, professional, and creative management of complex urban projects.

Mali Kehati, manager of the kindergarten registration, information, and placement department, received an award for her dedication, responsibility, and exceptional contribution to students and families. Ilan Levi, the custodian at "Neve Dahlia" school, was recognized as a significant figure for students and staff due to his devotion and initiative. Nili Salomon, the mayor's secretary, was acknowledged for 35 years of service and loyalty, noted for her pleasant demeanor and equitable treatment of all.

From the operations and industry department, Yaniv Shay, manager of sanitation supervision and water monitoring, received an award for service, initiative, problem-solving, and availability. Gidi Harvi, deputy department manager and sanitation inspector, was highlighted for his leadership, responsibility, humanity, and notable performance during the war and emergencies.

In addition to individual awards, the "Education Human Resources Team" received a group award for their swift and professional service to managers, kindergarten teachers, and teaching assistants. They were also recognized for advancing digital efficiency processes and their intensive work under uncertain conditions during the war, including providing services in a daycare for special education children.

Mayor Raz Shagi concluded the event by emphasizing that behind every municipal service and project are dedicated people. He stated that the employees are the driving force of the municipality, consistently proving their professionalism, responsibility, and dedication. Shagi expressed pride and thanks to all municipal employees for their vital daily work, calling the honorees examples of public service driven by genuine commitment to the city and its residents.
