Israel Security Forces Arrest Over 30 Suspects in Terror Plot

Israeli security forces, including the Shin Bet and police, have arrested more than 30 individuals suspected of planning terrorist attacks against civilians and security personnel. The operation dismantled a significant terror network operating in Jerusalem and the West Bank, also known as Judea and Samaria.

Among those detained are two Jerusalem residents, identified as Rashid Risheq and Tzvi Abu Tzvi, who are described as activists from the "Shabab al-Aksa" organization, reportedly linked to Hamas. Risheq, previously released in a 2025 hostage exchange deal, and Tzvi allegedly established the extensive network, forming cells in the West Bank to carry out attacks. Tzvi's father was responsible for a 2016 attack that killed two Israelis.

Other arrested individuals include Muhammad Abu Tzvi, Muhammad Azmi Bakri, and Ahmed Azmi Bakri, all Jerusalem residents involved in the network. Investigations revealed that Ahmed Azmi Bakri and Rashid Risheq were planning an attack at a restaurant in Modi'in where Ahmed worked. Muhammad Bakri reportedly provided instructions on making explosives to Risheq and Muhammad Abu Tzvi.

Further plans uncovered included an armed assault on security forces in Azaria. Weapons and equipment intended for attacks were seized during the operation. Following the investigation by the Shin Bet and Jerusalem District Police, five suspects have been indicted on charges including leading a terror organization, active participation, preparing for murder, weapons offenses, and recruitment.

Additional indictments are expected in the coming days for other West Bank residents involved in the network.
