Israeli Forces Arrest Over 200 Suspects in Extensive West Bank Security Operation
Israeli security forces conducted a large-scale offensive operation across Judea and Samaria (West Bank), detaining more than 200 wanted individuals, seizing weapons, and confiscating terror funds. The operation, carried out over several days and multiple locations, targeted key terror networks and aimed to prevent imminent attacks. The detainees included central inciters, Hamas operatives, arms dealers, and a key suspect planning an immediate deadly attack. The arrests were based on precise intelligence and involved raids on homes and terror activity centers, including extensive searches in villages identified as terror hotspots.
In addition to arrests, the forces confiscated dozens of items used to manufacture explosives, hunting rifles, airsoft guns, pistols, advanced drones, and tens of thousands of shekels intended to finance terror activities. Five explosive devices ready for immediate use were discovered and destroyed by bomb disposal experts during routine patrols on main roads. A separate incident occurred near Susya, where Palestinians attacked a soldier on leave, injuring him moderately, stealing his weapon, which was later recovered by Israeli forces.
As part of punitive and deterrent measures, the military completed mapping and sealing of homes belonging to terrorists involved in a recent deadly attack, preparing for their imminent demolition in accordance with government directives. This demolition policy is a key tool in Israel's security strategy to deter future terror acts. The operation also included intensified activities in the villages of Beit Furik and Tubas, involving searches for weapons, arrests, and interrogations of terror suspects.
Israeli security officials emphasized that the operation reflects ongoing determination to neutralize all terror threats swiftly and that security forces will continue acting decisively to protect Israeli citizens and soldiers, following political leadership guidelines while ensuring the safety of residents and personnel in the area.
