Jenin Resident Charged with Online Sexual Extortion of Minors

A 24-year-old resident of Jenin, Majd Malaisha, has been indicted in Israel on charges of extortion, threats, and online harassment against several complainants, including minors from northern Israel. The indictment, filed by attorney Louay Ayadat, also includes charges of sexual offenses and invasion of privacy.

According to the indictment, Malaisha allegedly contacted his victims through social media, threatening to publish compromising photos and personal information of them and their families, and creating fake social media accounts in their names. In one instance, he posted a photo of a minor with a family member, accompanied by a false and humiliating sexually suggestive claim.

In another case, Malaisha threatened a 16-year-old girl, forcing her to expose parts of her body during a video call. He recorded her without her knowledge and threatened to distribute the video if she did not comply with his demands. He also sent one victim a message stating, "Everyone in your family I will add... even if you go to God, I will reach you."

The charges against Malaisha include extortion by threats, threats, harassment via telecommunications, indecent acts under duress, invasion of privacy, and illegal entry into Israel. The investigation is ongoing at the Karmiel police station.
