Bnei Brak Installs Seven New Shelters as Part of City Protection Project
The city of Bnei Brak has completed a significant phase of its "City Protection" project, installing seven new fortified shelters in strategic locations. The project, managed by the city's emergency and security apparatus along with district coordinators, aims to address protection gaps based on precise needs assessments and field experience.
The new shelters are situated on Jabotinsky Street (behind Shaul Haddad), Shlomo Ben Yosef Street, near the Geha Interchange by Ganey Gad, Ezra Street 59, adjacent to the gas station complex on Geha Road, in Shapira Garden, and on Bilu Street.
Mayor Chanoch Zeibert stated that the municipality is working at full capacity to close any remaining protection deficits. He thanked district coordinator Yaakov Mangel for leading the project on behalf of the Mayor's office and all district coordinators involved.
Deputy Mayor and head of the emergency and security portfolio, Nir Ariel, described the initiative as a complex engineering and logistical undertaking managed with a systemic and professional approach. Haim Nogelblat, director of the emergency and security department, added that the project will continue based on ongoing situation assessments.
