David Foxman to Officiate Tel Aviv Derby in Upcoming League Match
The Israel Football Association announced Friday the referee assignments for the upcoming fourth round of the Premier League, with David Foxman selected to officiate the highly anticipated Tel Aviv derby between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv. The match is scheduled for Monday, September 14, at Bloomfield Stadium.
This marks the first time this season Foxman will referee a Maccabi Tel Aviv game, and the second time he will officiate Hapoel Tel Aviv, having previously overseen their 3-0 victory over Beitar Jerusalem. The derby is set to kick off at 8:30 PM.
In other notable fixtures for the fourth round, Aviv Klein will referee Maccabi Haifa against Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona on Monday at 8:00 PM in Netanya. Gal Levy has been appointed to officiate the match between champions Hapoel Be'er Sheva and Hapoel Petah Tikva on Sunday at 8:30 PM at the Shlomo Biton Stadium.
Gal Leibovitz will take charge of the game between Maccabi Petah Tikva and Beitar Jerusalem on Tuesday at 8:00 PM at Bloomfield Stadium. Additional referees assigned include Nael Odeh for Bnei Sakhnin vs. Hapoel Haifa, Snir Levy for Maccabi Netanya vs. Hapoel Ramat Gan, and Orel Grinfeld for Hapoel Jerusalem vs. Ironi Tiberias.
