Colombian Winger Camilo Mena Joins Korona Kielce, Not Maccabi Tel Aviv
Colombian winger Camilo Mena, who had been linked with a move to Maccabi Tel Aviv, is reportedly on the verge of signing with Korona Kielce from Poland's top league. The 23-year-old attacker is currently undergoing medical tests with his new club and is expected to finalize a loan deal from his current team, Lechia Gdańsk.
Korona Kielce will have an option to purchase Mena's contract at the end of the loan period. Mena joined Lechia Gdańsk three years ago, making 92 appearances across all competitions, scoring 15 goals, and providing 33 assists. Despite his contributions, he was unable to prevent Lechia Gdańsk from being relegated to the second division last season.
Mena's move to Korona Kielce means he will not be joining Maccabi Tel Aviv, who were reportedly interested in strengthening their offense with the player.
